Sea Shepherd Moves to the Neighborhood
The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) has opened a new gallery just kitty-corner from Coho. Established in 1977, the international non-profit marine wildlife conservation organization works to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans.
The gallery serves as their community outreach and information center, and houses artifacts from the Ady Gil, (the Sea Shepherd vessel that was rammed and sunk by a Japanese whaler), photos, and information about the Sea Shepherd vessels and crew. A big screen tv offers Skype to Captain Paul and crew members, and visitors can sign up to be on their interactive mailing list. Displays will rotate periodically, but SSCS merchandise will be available for purchase year round.
Welcome to the neighborhood, Sea Shepherd!
