Summer Wine Picks with Chef Tim

Summer nights, when we are all a bit more relaxed, are such a fun time to try out some new wines. Here are a few fun ones popping up on our list and that pair so well with our new menu. • Our recently added Alexana Terroir Series Chardonnay is an amazing example of how great Oregon Chardonnay can be. It is elegant and perfect with our halibut. • Have you tried Archipelago’s Sparkling Gruner Veltliner? It is refreshing, crisp, thirst quenching, and pairs so well with our fried squash blossoms & summer squash salad. • In terms of reds, try Gamay. This is a great, light bodied summer red that can vary from very fruity to austere. On our list we offer both the classic French Chiroubles (one of the ten crus in Beaujolais/Burgundy) and an amazing Pacific Northwest offering (Evening Land Seven Springs Gamay Noir). Versatile wines that drink very well with the foods of summer. Come in for a taste of summer. The Coho Restaurant culinary team is ready to serve you in the dining room, on the patio, or packed and ready for take away! Open Tues-Sat., 5-9 p.m. Book online or call 360-378-6330.
