Another new product we're excited to feature is Finger Limes
Native to the rainforests of Northern New South Wales, and Queensland, Australia, the thorny tree has been taking root in the states over the last year. It bears tiny fruit that looks like elongated limes, but the inside flesh is more like soft pop rocks that burst with concentrated flavor when chewed. The fruit is often referred to as "citrus caviar" or "citrus pearls" because of the bubble-like appearance of the vesicles that flow out when you cut the fruit open.
We like how they add a lemony-lime "zing" when mixed in salads or sprinkled atop foods for a vibrant surprise of flavor. Look for these caviar-like gems on our plates this Fall and Winter.
