Doubleback Winery Winemakers Dinner

That's a wrap! We enjoyed hosting Josh McDaniels from Doubleback Winery for our wine maker's dinner April 26th, 2019 at Coho Restaurant.

Josh McDaniels was born and raised in Walla Walla and at an early age fell in love with the wine industry. It was at Leonetti Cellars that he first witnessed the hard work and beauty that goes into creating a premium wine. Josh cultivated his interest in the industry by volunteering at local wineries and making his own wine as a young teen. He furthered his passion with formal education while continuing to work with his mentor, Chris Figgins of Leonetti. He then traveled to Argentina to intern at Paul Hobbs’ Vina Cobos Winery.

Upon his return from Argentina, Josh was hired as the Assistant Winemaker for FIGGINS where he worked on Leonetti, TOIL Oregon and Doubleback wines.  In 2015, Josh became the Winemaker & General Manager for Doubleback and its sister project, Bledsoe Family Winery. He has been named a “Game Changer of Washington Wine” by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, and eagerly works alongside Drew and Maura Bledsoe to take Doubleback to new heights. In 2007, Former NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe launched Doubleback as his post retirement project in his home town.

Doubleback has four estate vineyards each with a different soil, elevation and micro-climate. These differences allow Josh to naturally blend Doubleback's wine to a higher level of quality and create a true experience of Walla Walla terroir. Join us for this remarkable evening of food and wine.
